My art is an expression of my experiences with the people and world around me. I like to work extemporaneously and in the abstract. Bright colors tend to excite me, as well as geometry and asymmetry. I typically work in the moment, working with paints and dyes on fabric, creating serendipitous designs.

My favorite piece………………so far
I know one is not supposed to admit to having a favorite, but this piece might be it for me! I started collecting cardboard coffee koozie sleeves because they seemed ‘too good to throw away’. Before long, friends and family were presenting me with their collection.
This piece is composed of recycled cardboard from near and far. I cut openings, punched holes and strung colorful embroidery thread across the expanses. Each sleeve joined to another. The lengths were then attached to two wooden supports that hung from the ceiling. Additional strings laced with beads, buttons and spools of thread finished the display.
